When I was a sprinter while working full time, I must admit there was times after a long day in the office that I just did not want to go to the track to train and feel the lactic acid through my entire legs.
Two things drove me on though to get to that track. Missing sessions means not running too fast when the season came around. If you don't put the work in then the fast times just won't come.
The other thing that drove me on was the fact that I always felt so much better and alert after a training session. The difference between how I felt pre session and post session was ridiculous!!
The feeling of being alert after a session is not just a feeling, it is actually a scientific fact. Endorphins are produced when the body goes through a lot of stress or pain. Endorphins help bring out the feeling of euphoria and well being.
I would highly doubt that there is a person on the planet who regretted doing a workout. I bet there are plenty of people out there though who cancelled a session with a PT or who didn't go for that run, class or gym and feel at least a bit guilty for not doing that exercise that they planned to.
So unless you are unwell, go for that workout, you'll love yourself after its done!
